My love affair with accounting began surprisingly, at a pretty young age. Competing at the national level for business math in FBLA gave me the opportunity to get out of my small hometown of Saguache, and I never forgot how much I enjoyed the actual tasks accounting involved as I explored options for a major in college. After obtaining my masters in accounting from CU Boulder, I joined Grant Thornton for a busy season of audit work. For several years following that I worked with Century Communities, a top-15 homebuilder, as a Senior Corporate Accountant where I studied for and obtained my CPA licensure.

When COVID-19 hit, my husband and I made the decision to move back to the mountains. I spent four years with a regional accounting firm Stotler & Young, P.C. completing business, personal, and estate tax returns among other monthly accounting activities for clients. This included complex sales tax returns with the state of Colorado, resolving IRS letters and issues for clients in need of direction, and focusing on partnering with business owners to accomplish their future goals as well as meet their current needs for annual tax reporting or monthly decision making. I have Stotler & Young to thank for teaching me and sharpening me as a tool to help our community.

Using that experience, I now serve my clients with my own firm, Levulis Ledgers & Tax Services PC with the strategies I know work. Quarterly touch points instead of annual meetings. Keeping clients "in the know" while ensuring the process is lean and affordable.There is no need to complicate what needs to be done.
